Introduction The Master of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and Foreign Language Teaching (FLT) prepares for a career in a wide range of professional contexts and leadership positions in Australia and internationally, including teaching English to speakers of other language, or a foreign language. The course integrates practical and theoretical issues, including teaching methodology, linguistics for language teachers, language acquisition, language and social context, language testing and assessment, curriculum design and evaluation, discourse studies, oral communication, and teaching practice. It prepares students for their future work at the interface of theory, research and practice. Graduates will have specialised knowledge and skills for professional practice, further learning, and research in language teaching and learning.
