The Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) is designed to develop the skills, knowledge and personal qualities you’ll need as an occupational therapist. You’ll learn how to optimise your client’s independence and improve their daily lives.Gain practical experience from your first year of study in a variety of community and healthcare settings at UQ’s own occupational therapy clinics as well as external partners throughout Queensland. Acquire a thorough understanding of the theory and practice underpinning occupational therapy. You’ll develop knowledge of the medical, social behavioural, psychological, and psychosocial sciences that will aid you in helping people recover.Be confident and job-ready after completing 1000 hours on placements across your program. You’ll work with a range of clients affected by injury or illness, psychological difficulties, or developmental delays or ageing.
