Occupational Health and Safety Science is a multidisciplinary program that combines the study of health, science, law, and management with practical skills developed through worksite visits and industry experience.Develop key skills that will allow you to monitor and modify work environments, analyse data, ensure compliance with legislation, undertake auditing and inspections, and complete accident investigations. Learn scientific approaches to identify, assess and control chemical, physical and biological hazards that may negatively affect workers. You’ll also learn about psychosocial health factors, like stress, bullying, harassment and fatigue.Study the foundation sciences in year one followed by the core OHS areas of occupational health, ergonomics, safety science and occupational hygiene. You will also study management, law, ethics and aspects of the environment.
