Why study the Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Economics at UNE? Studying the combined Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Economics gives you more career flexibility and choices when you graduate, as well as the opportunity to explore a range of subjects in-depth. In this combined degree, you complete a set of core units in economics, accounting, marketing and organisational behaviour, then choose two majors to complete (one from the Bachelor of Business component, one from the Bachelor of Economics component). Business majors: Accounting, Agribusiness, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Human Resource Management, International Business, Management and Marketing. Economics majors: Applied Econometrics, Economics, Economic Development, Environmental Analysis and Policy. Combined degrees are structured to enable you to graduate in a much shorter time than it would take to complete the two degrees individually. Each degree on its own is 3 years full-time study, but this combined degree is just 4 years full-time. Career Opportunities Graduates will have the knowledge and skills to pursue a wide range of career paths, including positions in business management; accounting and finance; public services as policy officers, analysts, economic modellers, advisers, trade and industry officers; private-sector positions in financial management, forecasting, banking, insurance and agribusiness firms; business consulting; commodities or futures trader; importer/exporter; international positions with agencies such as the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund and the United Nations.
